Protect yourself against diseases
In Morocco, there is a risk of infections transmitted through food, water, and the environment. Good hand hygiene is an important preventive measure, but vaccination offers the most reliable protection. There is also a risk of schistosomiasis (snail fever), a parasitic disease spread through freshwater. Therefore, avoid swimming in lakes and rivers where the parasite may be present.
