About Malaysia
Malaysia is located in Southeast Asia and consists of both the mainland on the Malay Peninsula and the Malaysian part of Borneo. The country is known for its mix of modern cities like Kuala Lumpur, tropical islands such as Langkawi and the Perhentian Islands, and rainforests with unique flora and fauna. The tropical climate makes Malaysia a popular year-round destination, but it also brings a risk of diseases transmitted by mosquitoes and through food and water. Therefore, proper vaccinations and mosquito protection are important parts of your travel preparations.

Use insect repellent
Sleep under insecticide-treated mosquito nets
Wear long-sleeved clothing in the evenings
Gastrointestinal infections are also common. Wash your hands frequently, avoid raw or undercooked food, and drink bottled water.
